Miles Davis and the jazz through Kind of Blue
Jazz: This genre is not about the lyrics, it is more like a melody, the harmony between the music notes and the way how the musician speaks to his instrument. Even though jazz had changed many times, improvisation was one of the most common parts of the genre.
Miles Davis: He was one of the most influential jazz musicians who formed the genre to be better. He started playing on the trumpet with Charlie Parker, but then he improved his skills until he got the chance to lead his own groups and created many great albums through the years. Perhaps the best album of his, is the Kind of Blue album, what was recorded in 1959. Some of the many sub genres he was switching through during his career are cool jazz, modal jazz, hard bop and fusion.
Kind of Blue: As Miles was a relentless innovator, his music had changed several times during his years, but surely Kind of Blue is noted as his most atmospheric and influential music album ever recorded within the jazz genre. Through each track the musicians within the band, provide many layers with instruments such as piano, cymbal, tenor and alto saxophone and trumpet. The contributors to this album are John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Bill Evans, Paul Chambers, Jimmy Cobb, Wynton Kelly and Miles Davis himself.
